Play Therapy for Young Children

We offer play therapy for our clients ages 4-10.  Children are able to express their feelings easier in a relaxed setting that allows them to open up with a professional counselor trained in play therapy. Children from families dealing with conflict or divorce especially benefit from this type of counseling. Children who are showing symptoms of anxiety and depression, such as headache, stomach ache, aggression, withdrawal, interpersonal conflicts, and school issues need to be evaluated by our experienced licensed professional counselor.

Kristi Vanderpool, MS, LPC, NCC, MCC is board certified & has been a licensed professional counselor for 20 years.  She has a Masters degree in Counseling specializing in Marriage & Family Therapy. While at Georgia State University, she conducted research involving play therapy. She is a certified parenting instructor and a member of the International Association of Marriage & Family Therapists.  She has received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Trauma in Children, PTSD, ADHD, Executive functions, Anxiety, Depression, & Divorce.

Issues not addressed in childhood can be exacerbated later as they become teenagers.  Sometimes just a few sessions can make a big difference in your child's well-being. If you have any questions regarding your child's behavior, please don't hesitate to call or text us at 678-373-9270. We provide free phone consults!
